A PROJECT to give Oxenhope people more of a say in the future of their village will soon embark on an important new phase.
Oxenhope parish councillor Peter McManus delivered an update on progress to put together a neighbourhood development plan (NDP).
Once finished this statutory document will influence what kind of properties are constructed in the parish and where they are located.
Cllr McManus said: “The next NDP meeting in March will be our last formal project team meeting, after which we will begin drawing up a draft plan.
“Once the draft is in place, for which we have a target date of end of May or the start of June, we’ll need wider engagement so we can present the draft plan to the public.”
He said the draft may be displayed during the Manorlands Garden Party and could also feature in a public exhibition at Oxenhope Community Centre.
