A DETAILED plan which should shape the long-term future of communities in the Worth Valley aims to engage with owners of some of the most important assets in this district.

The team behind the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury wants to hear from individuals or organisations who own locations in the parish such as green spaces and historic buildings.

A spokesman for Haworth Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council, said: “Through its steering committee the council has been working on the NDP for the parish, which is nearing its ‘Final Draft’ stage. “An important part of that plan is the identification of the assets that the parish enjoys by way of its heritage buildings, local green spaces, other community facilities and parking.

“The owners of such sites are now being consulted regarding their inclusion.

“This is being done by way of direct communication with those parties, and through drop-in, informal consultations during the first week of March as an opportunity for further discussion.

“All members of the public are welcome at the drop-ins, although these consultations are limited to the assets identified above.

“Public consultations regarding the NDP as a whole, will take place in the summer, with dates and locations to be confirmed nearer the time.”

Owners of identified assets in the parish can attend one or more of the following informal meetings: Tuesday March 6 from 6pm to 8pm in St Gabriel’s, Stanbury, Wednesday March 7 from 6pm to 8pm in West Lane Baptist Church, Haworth, and Thursday March 8 from 6pm to 8pm at Lees Primary School, Cross Roads.
