GREEN Tokens will help Denholme Community Library spread itself around the village.

Volunteers who run the library received a cheque for £200 from supermarket chain Asda, representing money raised through its Green Tokens collection.

The money will go towards a laptop computer for the library’s outreach work.

Library spokesman Annette Bell said Denholme Community Library, based in the Mechanics Institute, was still thriving six years after the library was transferred from Bradford Council.

The volunteers will hold a coffee morning on Saturday, February 24, from10am to 11.30am with Bacon buffets, books for sale, and a raffle with the main prize a basket of fruit.

Admission is free. The library can be contacted on 07958 619532.
