Airedale Opticians in Keighley is backing a campaign encouraging people to shop locally.
The business – in the Airedale Shopping Centre – took part in Love My Local Day, which kicked off Independent Retailer Month.
The initiative aims to highlight the important role played by smaller retailers.
Spokesman Paul Surridge said: “Not a week goes by without another debate arising about the declining nature of the nation’s high streets.
“With a large majority of independent opticians located in town centres, they are in a prime position to act now and drive change by engaging with local neighbourhoods and persuading people to look again at what today’s high street has to offer.”
Airedale Shopping Centre manager Steve Seymour (pictured) said: “The engagement with the community, which Airedale Opticians has championed, shows its commitment to supporting local customers and providing quality service to everyone.”
