62-year-old is convicted over drugs discovery
8:59am Thursday 6th September 2012 in Keighley
A 62-year-old Riddlesden man has been told to hand over his pension after being convicted of drugs production.
A judge at Bradford Crown Court ordered the man to sign over his £11,604 pension investment under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Police raided the man's house in June last year because he had been forensically linked to a large consignment of cannabis seized in Lancashire.
A search uncovered a large amount of cannabis plants being grown, with a street value of £18,514.
At the confiscation hearing last Friday, the man was also ordered to hand over his car.
