School show’s a sell-out success

Pupils at Harden Primary School have put on a performance of Bugsy Malone.

Children and staff prepared for months for the show, the first by the school’s drama club.

There was a cast of 54 youngsters and a support band with instruments including piano, drums, trombone and saxophone.

Bugsy was played by Luke Hayhurst, Blousey by Millie Cook and Taullah by Neve Burnley. Thomas Lowe played Fat Sam and Daniel Monohan played Dandy Dan.

Tickets for each performance sold out within days of going on sale.

A school spokesman said: “We all spent a long time putting the production together. The children and staff put all their effort into this fantastic show and like always the hard work paid off.

“We all hope that the people that came to watch really enjoyed it.”
