Visitors to Cullingworth Primary School enjoyed a trip down a corridor of entertainment history during an open day recently.
Children of all ages spent weeks creating the wall displays.
Every year, the school picks a theme for its main corridor and classes work together decorating it with dramatic and artistic presentations, which parents are then invited to view.
Head teacher John Corn said this year’s theme was entertainment.
He said: “We have displays on different aspects of entertainment, for example pantomime, circus, the history of Walt Disney, special television effects and the development of newspapers. It is about the whole school pulling together and working with a particular aspect of a general theme.
“The children get very passionate about it and so do the staff. There is an air of wanting to do the best you can on the corridor display.”
Pupils also recorded dramatic performances, which were shown on laptops during the parent open day, and they have spent time investigating mock crime scenes as an insight into why forensic television shows are so popular.
