The artwork of 50 pupils at South Craven School, Cross Hills, went on display at the Tate Craven exhibition last week.
The exhibition, in the school hall, was open for parents last Thursday and featured 60 pieces of work by year 12 and 13 students. Pupils Sean Gill, 18, of Cononley, and Lucy Yates, 18, of Skipton, were eagerly anticipating the exhibition.
Lucy, Sean and their fellow pupils each studied the work of a specific artist, which influenced their own artwork.
Sean said he had “responded” to the work of Polish art deco painter Tamara de Lempicka, while Lucy studied techniques used by Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt.
