Grant is a ‘fantastic opportunity to create separate outdoor area’

A Farnhill nursery school has been awarded £10,000 from North Yorkshire County Council to improve its outdoor play provision.

Woodside Nursery School was given the grant by the early years and childcare service and it is part of a £2.2 million initiative to improve the outdoor provision at private, voluntary and independent settings. “This fund has given us the fantastic opportunity to create a separate outdoor area for our under twos,” said Woodside joint owners Andrew Mitchell and Rebecca Wilson.

“They can now free flow between indoor and outdoor provisions throughout the day.”

Woodside Nursery School is a privately owned nursery, catering for up to 27 children per session.
