Serious accident closes Keighley Road near Silsden/Steeton roundabout
A SERIOUS road accident this afternoon has caused traffic chaos around the Silsden/Steeton roundabout.
An articulated lorry and a black BMW were involved in a collision soon after 3.30pm this afternoon on Keighley Road.
Police said the accident happened near the A629 Valley trunk road roundabout. It is believed to have happened on the Silsden side of the roundabout, near the golf driving range.
A male occupant of the BMW, believed to be the only person injured in the accident, has been taken to hospital.
Police have described his injuries as not life-threatening.
Keighley bus company Transdev said it had suspended its 762 and 765 Keighley-Ilkley services for the time being, due to the closure of Keighley Road.
