Five people have been arrested in connection with an attack on an elderly blind woman in her own home.

Joyce Garside, 71, and her son Kevin, 50, were assaulted at their Fell Lane property by young men after he asked them to keep the noise down.

Those arrested are all local males in their late teens.

They have been released on police bail while inquiries continue into the incident, which happened in the early hours of Saturday April 26.

Detective Inspector John Mountain, of Airedale and Bradford North CID, said a number of witnesses had been traced and some good information provided.

"We are thankful to those who have come forward for their assistance but we would still like to hear from anybody else who may be able to help," he said.

Witnesses should contact the CID on 01535 617083 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
