The re-launch of Airedale Hospital's radio station had nurses dancing in the aisles on Monday.
Steeton singer Lianne King burst over the airwaves with Abba's "Take a Chance on Me" as the countdown to the radio station's live broadcast reached "one".
The radio station's leader, Aaron McCarter, said the re-launch was a tremendous success and had gained a lot of positive feedback.

He said: "As soon as Lianne started singing, you could see nurses through the windows dancing in the wards. Quite a few more nurses came to watch us while we were broadcasting, which was great.
"The hospital chief executive, Adam Cairns, came along to support us and Vera Jackson - chairman of the Friends of Airedale committee, which gave us the £32,000 to get the station going - cut the ribbon. The people who were listening said the programmes we plan to air and the music we played is what they want to hear."
The radio station plans to play easy listening music from the 1950s-90s and some songs from the current decade. It will also broadcast a programme of music from musicals showing in the area, which will then be reviewed. A worship programme broadcasting inspirational music is also planned. Volunteers host the shows, which can be heard on every ward.
