Buses have CCTV

A new £1.4 million fleet of buses will be taking people from Keighley to Skipton and Ilkley.

The buses will carry around 1.2 million passengers a year to destinations including Airedale Hospital.

The eight vehicles, made by Volvo, are being operated by Transdev Keighley & District.

Transdev boss Dave Alexander said they offered new standards of comfort while meeting strict European standards.

He said: "They feature low floors for easy access, generous legroom, and interior and exterior CCTV systems.

"They have vehicle tracking equipment to provide real-time passenger information."

The buses are currently entering service.

Mr Alexander said the new vehicles featured some of the latest engine technology with exhaust filtration and low exhaust emissions.

He said: "These impressive credentials are reasons why the company continues to invest in the Volvo product."
