A Victorian steam locomotive that had a starring role in the 1970 film The Railway Children is to make its final outing before renovation.
The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway No 957 engine will be in service on January 20 for the last time on the Worth Valley line prior to its overhaul.
The work, which will include inspections and any necessary refurbishment of the firebox, boiler and running gear, is expected to take about two years.
The 1887-built loco famously appeared in The Railway Children, shot on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, as The Green Dragon. It will be joined at its farewell appearance by Lancashire & Yorkshire No 1300, a similar engine currently on loan to the railway.
And another locomotive – the British Railways Ivatt tank no 41241 – will also be making a final pre-overhaul trip.
