Keighley councillor Jan Smithies was among key speakers due to address a health conference on Wednesday.
Coun Smithies, who represents Keighley West on Bradford Council, was a guest of Bradford Alliance on Community Care.
She was due to share the podium with a consultant from Bradford Royal Infirmary and Professor Mike Kelly from the Centre of Public Health Excellence.
The alliance organised the conference – Bringing Bradford Together for Health – to address challenging health inequalities between the most and least-deprived areas of the district. The aim was to bring service users and community representatives together with health organisations and professionals.
The conference also featured workshops on disability, politics and public health, pregnancy, the environment, volunteering and mental health.
