WILSDEN children met a host of people from the past during a special week at the village school.
They chatted with survivors of disasters such as the Titanic sinking and the volcanic eruption at Pompeii.
The key stage II students of Wilsden Primary School also met fictional figures such as Dracula and Theseus.
All of the visitors were in reality drama teacher Alex Fellows, who ran drama workshops with the pupils.
Gillian Wilson, the deputy head, said that as a result of Mr Fellows’s work the children had produced high-quality writing, which would be displayed around the school.
She said: “These workshops have provided enriched learning experiences which have been a valuable part of the children’s learning journey.
“Our aim is to bring the creative curriculum to life, and Alex, through his re-connections of famous scenes from history, has done just that.”
