The new head teacher at Oxenhope Primary School said he was keen to involve the school in community projects.
Dan Burns, from Halifax, was introducing himself to the parish council.
He was previously deputy head, then acting head at a school in Sowerby Bridge.
He said: “In school we are working towards the Investors in Pupils Award.
“And I’m keen to see what we can do for the local community and what initiatives we can participate in.”
l The parish council has been asked to identify a local house which can be sold or rented out as an affordable home. The request from Bradford Council recommends a house being marketed for no more than £100,000.
