PROPOSALS to convert a grade two star listed redundant mill and residential apartment in Lothersdale to two live/work units, a workshop, offices and a house, have been submitted to Craven District Council.
Applicant John Shears has applied for both planning permission and listed building consent for Dale End Mill, Dale End.
In submissions to the council, agents for the applicant say it has taken years to refine the proposed scheme.
The part of the mill complex, known as the west range, has been vacant since 2016 when it was last used for small scale textile manufacturing, along with a second-floor residential flat.
It is stated: "The applicant is very open to considering any further pragmatic suggestions that would either maximise the benefits of the proposal or minimise harm. "
