Fashion show pulls in £2,000
A fashion show to help people suffering from cancer raised more than £2,000.
More than 170 people turned out to watch the event in Haworth's parish church hall.
Firths of Haworth supplied the women's outfits and Keighley's branch of Greenwoods the men's clothing.
Silverland and Passion, two firms based in Haworth, provided items of jewellery to give some added glamour to the occasion.
The event raised a total of £2,075 for Marie Curie Cancer Care which runs a hospice in Bradford.
Nikki Carroll, who owns Firths of Haworth, staged the show partly to celebrate her firm's 90th anniversary.
She added she also wanted to do something to benefit cancer sufferers because the disease affects such a large number of people.
"Everybody is touched by it in one way or another," she said. "I think the Marie Curie nurses do a fantastic job."
She offered her thanks to everyone who attended the show, or contributed to it in any way.
"I was absolutely delighted with what we raised - it was phenomenal," she added.
A group of nine women and three men modelled clothes in two separate sessions - one in the afternoon and another in the evening.
Proceeds were raised through ticket sales and a raffle, which featured prizes donated by local businesses.
