Whitestar reach semi-finals

First published in Sport

Silsden Whitestar cruised through to the semi-finals of the Keighley FA Challenge Cup with a 4-1 win at Mastab's Craven League rivals Bingley Town.

Goals came from Tom Clark, Lee Britain, Gavin Shearer and Ben McClennon, with Danny Marshall pulling one back from the spot.

Silsden reserves’ last-eight clash at home to Oxenhope was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and has been rearranged for Saturday, January 19.

The draw for the semi-finals, which Steeton and Manningham All Stars have already reached, will take place on Thursday, January 24.

The outstanding Keighley FA Sunday Cup quarter-final between Bingley FC Young Boys and Bingley Midland Athletic, which was postponed last Sunday, will be played at Marley on January 20.
