Silsden have parted company with manager Chris Reape following a run of seven defeats on the trot.

Reape leaves the club 16th in the North West Counties League Premier Division with 23 points from 20 matches.

The Cobbydalers have slipped dramatically down the table since picking up their last points from a 4-0 home victory over Ashton Athletic back on October 20.

A Silsden statement said: “Following a review of the future direction of the club, the committee announced that there will be some changes in the management of the footballing side of the club.

“Chris Reape is to leave the club by mutual agreement. Silsden AFC would like to put on record that we thank Chris for his commitment and hard work whilst being the first-team manager and we wish him well in the future.”

An interim management team of Andy Geary and Paul Schofield will take up immediate responsibility for the first team, starting with the Boxing Day derby game at home to Colne.
