A lacklustre Keighley were totally outplayed by high flying Sheffield in SSE North One East.
Sheffield’s outside half Mark Ireland started the scoring with a penalty, Keighley's rally taking play deep into Sheffield territory.
However, poor handling gave Sheffield the chance to break upfield and an easy try for winger Alex Hill, converted by Ireland.
With the home forwards gaining good possession and territory, second-row forward David Ellis broke through poor defence to score, Ireland converting.
Although Keighley’s most prominent player Paul Sinfield scored a well-deserved try, converted by Alex Brown, the writing was on the wall when Hill crossed for his second try and Ireland landed the conversion and added two penalties.
The second half was even worse for a dispirited Keighley, although Brown landed a penalty.
Sheffield, thanks to a slow, flat-footed visiting defence were able to attack from deep and at pace, resulting in a further six tries, plus five conversions from Ireland.
