Cougars player-coach Paul March has bolstered his squad with the signing of former Bradford Bulls forward Johnny Walker, on a dual registration from Castleford, and ex-Wakefield youngster Joe Parkinson.

Keighley have a partnership agreement with Castleford which has seen Tigers duo Jake Emmitt and Charlie Martin play for the Championship club this season.

Emmitt has now returned to Castleford to play for Ian Millward’s side but Martin should feature again in Sunday’s home clash with Leigh, while former Bulls academy forward Walker, who used to play with Bradford side Victoria Rangers, is also in line to make his bow.

Parkinson is a hooker who played for Hunslet Hawks after a spell in Australia following a successful year in 2011 in the senior academy side at Wakefield.

March will hope the two new recruits will give his side a lift as they bid to end a dismal run of four straight defeats this weekend.
