Since winning their opening two league matches to go to the top of the table, Keighley have suffered a terrible run of form.

They have lost five of their last six Division Two games – the other one was abandoned – and been knocked out of the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup.

Their latest defeat on Bank Holiday Monday was at the hands of an Undercliffe team who have also been going through an indifferent spell of form.

Nawaz Sardar made 79 as he and skipper Ben Heritage guided their side to 211-5 despite the efforts of Tom Stead (3-51).

Sardar followed up with 4-35 as Keighley were sent tumbling to 148 all out. Former Undercliffe opener Matthew Bottomley was Keighley’s top scorer with 44.

Keighley also slipped to defeat two days earlier. Ahsan Butt made an unbeaten 120 as Bowling Old Lane chased down 257-6 to record a seven-wicket win.

Keighley’s innings was dominated by a fourth-wicket stand of 175 between Imran Patel and skipper Richard Robinson.

Patel led the way with an unbeaten 114, which was laced with five sixes and nine fours, while Robinson hit four sixes and seven fours in his 81.

Keighley II enjoyed a mixed weekend. They opened up with a seven-wicket win at Hanging Heaton II, dismissing the hosts for 113 as Paul Wilkinson (3-20) and Ashley Robinson (3-37) struck before Amjid Hussain (47no) guided them to victory.

Two days later, Woodlands II gained revenge on Keighley II for their Priestley Shield final defeat last season with a 32-run win. Their total of 167-9 proved too much for the hosts, who were bowled out for 135 despite 48 from Richard Wood.
