Oakworth are top of Craven League Division One after beating Ingrow St John’s at Wide Lane in the summit clash.

Saints decided to bat and were struggling at 75-8 after a superb spell of bowling from Matt House (6-38) before a bit of tail-wagging pushed the total to 124. In reply, Gareth Marshall (43) and Michael Scarborough (35no) took Oak-worth to the points by seven wickets.

Crossflatts join Ingrow St John’s in second spot after they crushed Embsay at Shires Lane by 127 runs. The Rhysworth Park side batted first and built on a splendid opening partnership of 191 by M Adil and Rashid Ayub, with the former scoring 75 while Ayub crashed 16 fours and two sixes in a super knock of 110.

Cammy Ayub joined in with 44 as the total reached 287-7, with Aslam Hussain taking 5-70. The home side made 160 in reply, with Nathan Robinson scoring 41 as M Bentham took 4-29.

Chris Hemsley (52) and Tom Keighley (46) helped Bingley Congs to 188-5 at Beckfoot Lane. Visitors Thornton were quickly reduced to 17-4 and only a seventh-wicket partnership of 67 by Luke Scothern (41) and Mark Paxton (26no) got them to 141-7 at the close. Matty Roberts (4-30) and Aidy Dibb (3-39) did most of the damage.

Jamie Rowell was in sparkling form as Haworth brushed aside Bradley by nine wickets. First he took 7-38 off 13.5 overs as the home side crumpled to 115 all out. He followed this with 75 not out as the Bronte side reached their target in the 28th over.

The red rose derby between Foulridge and Barrowford went the way of the former by 12 runs after an exciting finish.

The Noyna side batted first and made 152-8, David Spokes top-scoring with 32 as Jahangir Babar took 5-70. The Bull Holme team’s innings revolved around Ajmal Choudhry, who made 61. After he was dismissed the brakes were applied and the innings closed on 140-8, with John Lambert taking 4-44.

Haworth Road finished on 189-6 against Cullingworth, with M Zahid scoring 77. In reply Cullingworth sauntered home by seven wickets, with Steve Welch – back after a hand injury – making 75 not out, Adie Powis 44 and Chris Welch 32 not out.

Division Five Michael Gildea made 49 as Foulridge II made 153-8 at Noyna. In reply, Oakworth III were dismissed for 82 as I Khaliq took 6-25 off 15 overs.

James Marshall took 6-50 as Cowling II were all out for 123 (Ben Davy 51) at Keighley Road. Visitors Sutton II ambled home by eight wickets, with M Allport scoring 48 not out.

Jake Parker (56) helped Cononley II to an impressive 214-9 at home to Skipton CI. Then Jonathan Crossley (4-37), Tom Feather (3-15) and Crossley (3-15) had the visitors back in the hut for 105.

Marc Glover (56) and Damian Gupta (52) put on 126 for Chatburn II’s first wicket, which set the platform for 208-5 as Tom Storr took 4-55. Visitors Gargrave II, despite 42 from Ed Stanley and 36 by Pete Messenger, closed on 153-9, with Tom Bailey taking 4-42.

Denholme II got the better of Haworth WE II by 56 runs. Adrian Shires’ 56 and Jack Harrison’s 39 saw the Keighley Road side to 156-7 as Pete Hatton took 4-75. The Penistone Park side closed on 100-8, with Harry Sherlock making 45 not out and Ian Spencer taking 6-47.
