Craven League Division One Oakworth consolidated their position at the head of the table with a resounding eight-wicket victory over close rivals Cullingworth at Wide Lane.

The visitors went first and notched 171 all out, with Chris Welch hitting a 70-ball 87 as Adam Smith took 3-17.

The total proved well within reach of the hosts as they romped home by eight wickets in the 39th over, with Robert Hopkinson making an unbeaten 62 and Gareth Marshall 44.

Crossflatts are second after another stunning batting performance saw them smash 277-5 off Bradley’s attack at Rhysworth Park.

Amer Ayub scored a superb 119no, Lee Bailey weighed in with 47 and Feyaz Akram 43no.

James Heseltine stuck manfully to his task, finishing with 3-77 off 17 overs. Casper Bean top-scored in the South Craveners’ reply with 33 as M Adil took 3-32.

Bingley Congs’ trip to Foulridge proved to be fruitful.

Batting first, the Beckfoot side made 179 in their innings, with Andrew Copping scoring 53 and Matty Roberts 38. Kafeel Ishfaq was chief destroyer for the hosts, taking 5-57.

The Noyna side’s reply was woeful as they tumbled to 87 all out. Only Chris Brooker-Carey (42) showed any form as Harry Greenhalgh took 4-14.

Embsay’s trip into Bronte land proved an unsuccessful one.

Going first at Haworth, they crashed to 21-5 before reaching 88 all out. Aslam Hussain top-scored with 24 as Richard Ellis claimed 6-41 for the reigning champions and Damian Rowell 3-20.

Haworth lost four wickets reaching their target, with Jamie Rowell scoring 32 and Aidy Parker 31.

Bottom side Thornton entertained Barrowford and saw them rattle up 252-9, with T Ali leading the way on 73 and Nick Burton making 66. Jack Laycock was the most successful bowler with 4-79.

The Booth Bridge Laners replied with 163-9, of which Johnny Martin made 52 as Ajmal Choudrhy claimed 4-42.

Mohammed Zahid (74 and 3-19) and I Ullah (59no and 7-17) were the stars of Haworth Road’s 165 run triumph at Street Lane. Chasing 202-7, Ingrow St John’s crashed to 37 all out in 23.4 overs.
