Keighley’s recent revival stalled as they suffered an eight-wicket defeat at home to Gomersal.

The Lawkholme Laners’ five-game unbeaten run had lifted them to seventh in Division Two but they were leapfrogged by their visitors.

Even with 53 from Max Davidson, Keighley could only post a total of 143 as spinner Adam Greenwood took 3-13.

Only Imran Patel could provide much support, with 26, but Gomersal romped to victory as Richard Gould made an unbeaten 77 and Greg Pickles (40no).

Keighley II fared no better as Division One leaders Morley II brushed aside last season’s Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield winners by 183 runs.

They made 255 with Varundev Sambhi (59), Richard Winn (45), Ben Payne (32) and Graeme Roberts (30) leading the way. Ashley Robinson picked up 4-55 for Keighley.

The visitors were bowled out for just 72 as Winn took 3-16 to wrap up another convincing win for the hosts.

Foster’s Halifax League Roy Smith Division One Oxenhope 263-8 Bridgeholme 138 all out Oxenhope gained a much-needed 12 points with a 125-run over Bridgeholme on a scorching day.

The home batting line-up scored all down the order, with Josh Fleetwood (42), Darren Hopkinson (48) and Joe Ousey (41) leading the way in a big total of 263.

Two early wickets from Stuart Jackson put Bridgeholme on the back foot but it was the pace of Liam Dyson that took the points for Oxenhope with a match-winning return of 8-56.

For Bridgeholme, B Fielden scored 43 and J Iqbal put on a show with 38, including six sixes but they fell to man of the match Dyson.

Roy Smith Division One (seconds) Oxenhope II 149 all out Low Moor II 150-9 Oxenhope suffered yet another narrow defeat as they lost by one wicket at Low Moor.

A decent start by Brendan Ellison and Hopkinson was wasted as several players departed without troubling the scorers.

Tom Tetley, with 41, offered some stability and 14-year-old Eddie Jackson showed his older team-mates the virtue of playing with a straight bat as he crafted 22 vital runs at No 10, before becoming William-son’s fifth victim in a total of just 149.

Low Moor looked as if they would use all the 60 overs available to them as Mawer and Webb-Foster kept it tight but failed to take wickets.

A change of bowling bought two quick wickets from Ellison before Mawer and Webb-Foster took five wickets between them to give Oxen-hope the scent of victory.

However, No 11 Hodgson hit 11 to win the match, leaving Oxenhope to rue the 29 extras that they could ill-afford to concede with such a low total.
