Ross Towler and Amjid Hussain were the stars for Keighley as Division Two leaders Farsley were beaten for only the second time this season.

Despite a century from Joe Greaves – who hit three sixes and 14 fours in his innings of 102 – Keighley won by 61 runs. The hosts were dismissed for 191 with 8.2 overs to spare as they replied to a Keighley score of 252-9.

Towler was the man who scuppered Farsley’s hopes with 4-47 – including the wicket of Greaves – after Hussain (66), Imran Patel (37) and Tom Stead (34) had impressed with the bat for the visitors.

Keighley remain in ninth place ahead of this Saturday’s home game with Brighouse but they are only nine points behind sixth-placed Bowling Old Lane. New Farnley also visit Lawkholme Lane on Sunday.
