Oakworth’s lead at the top of Craven League Division One is now nine points after they won at Ingrow St John’s and second-placed Cullingworth lost at Haworth Road.

The Cure Hill batted first at Street Lane and made 194-8, with Gareth Marshall hitting 54 and Joel Gallagher 32.

Marshall then became destroyer in chief as he claimed 7-76 off 15 overs to help restrict the home side to 142, with ‘Mr Extras’ being the top scorer with 24.

Good all-round batting by Inayat Ullah (45), Mansha Khan (40) and Danny Preston (32) helped Haworth Road to an impressive 238-9 as Phil Poole claimed 4-55.

Cullingworth battled away and closed on 208-9, with Chris Welch and Graham Rankin both scoring 39 as Khan finished with 5-60.

Haworth are level with Cullingworth after demolishing Bradley by eight wickets. The Matthews Lane side were hustled out for 99, with skipper James Heseltine top-scoring with 46 as Damian Rowell performed the hat-trick in his 5-21. Jamie Rowell (56no) led the Bronte side to the winning post.

Bingley Congs travelled to Thornton and came back with the spoils. The Booth Bridge Laners scored 174-8, with Chris Bowker making 58 and Neil Copping taking 3-53.

The Beckfoot side galloped to the points by five wickets, with Mick Brooksbank scoring 47 and Andrew Copping 44 as Dave Scothern battled away to finish with 3-45.

Crossflatts amassed 231-9 in their overs at home to Embsay with Mohammed Adil making 49 and Amer Ayub 40 as Scott Robinson took 5-58.

The Shires Laners were struggling at 98-7 before some tail-wagging restored some pride to get them to 188. John Golson made 39 and Duncan Bullough 29 as Adil took 5-19 and Feyaz Akram 3-60.

Just a point separates top two Riddlesden and Cowling in Division Two, with the latter having a game in hand.

Riddlesden entertained Airedale and dismissed them for 123, M Qadeer taking 5-30 and Z Abbas 4-18.

The Grange Road side were 27-3 before Mohammed Shanawaz (59no) and Adam Khan (18no) took them to a six-wicket win.

Cowling were also involved in a derby – at home to Sutton. The Keighley Road side were shot out for 105, Richard Walker taking 9-64.

However, the Royd Hill side were knocked over for just 86 in reply with Charlie Hassan bagging 4-31 and Martyn Dalby 4-39.

Glusburn are third, six points behind Cowling. They entertained Pendle Forest, who rattled up 180 as David Atkinson took 3-6.

The Park Field side dashed home in only 31 overs for the loss of five wickets, with N Freeman scoring 75 and Steve Brown 53.

Barrowford II continued their good form with a 54-run victory over Wilsden after making 170, Muddasser Kiyani taking 4-28. Imran Khan hit 40 for Wilsden.

Long Lee must have fancied their chances of defending 238-8 at home to Ingrow. However, they were walloped by nine wickets.

Haz Haider (66) and Steve Butter-field (64no) starred for Long Lee, Chris Herbert taking 6-59. In a stunning reply, Mark Price made 130no and Alan Broadley 55.

A total of 550 runs were scored at Cure Hill, Denholme getting 295-7 (Adam Taylor 110, Joe Greenwood 96), while Oakworth II finished just 40 runs behind as Ben Howell made 92 and Nivard Trowers 87 as Matty Wear took 4-35.

Division Three leaders Chatburn defeated visitors Gargrave by eight wickets, while Emb-say II join Wilsden II in joint second after seeing off Crossflatts II by seven wickets at Shires Lane.

The Ryshworth Park side were restricted to 150-8, as J Baxter made 40 and James Bairstow 32. Under-15s skipper Morgan Davies led the successful reply with 60.

Wilsden II were unable to raise a team at home to Bradford & Bingley III – surprising as they were playing in the Cowling Cup final the following day! The Wagon Laners moved to within two points of second spot.

Haworth Road II had the wrong kind of warm-up for the final when they went down by eight wickets at Conon-ley.

The Baildon Bottom side made 143-9 as Joel Grainger claimed 4-38. The South Craveners lost two quick wickets before Herbie Starkey (55no) and Andrew Starkey (52no) took the hosts to the points in the 32nd over.

Sandy Lane stay in the promotion race after beating Eldwick & Gilstead by six wickets at Wagon Lane.

Alfie Raistrick’s 52 was the backbone of the home side’s 160-9 as Sam Mitchell took 5-40 and Steve Carass 4-21.

The Greenwood Park side raced to a six-wicket victory in the 32nd over with A Blackburn scoring a superb 104no.

Haworth West End went down by four wickets to Ingrow St John’s II at Penistone Park, with Josh Holt scoring 57 as Anjum Shakeel finished with 5-35. The Saints had Sajid Khan (38) to thank for the points.

Division Four runaway leaders Skipton CI demolished Cullingworth II at Roydwood Terrace.

The hosts were bundled out for 54 and the visitors cruised home by nine wickets in the tenth over.

The losers are now 11 points behind the winners in second place. Glusburn moved into third after Pendle Forest II were unable to raise a team.

Riddlesden II are fourth after a 19-run victory over Airedale II at Bradford Road. The Grange Road side were knocked over for 114, with Steve Bailey making 36 as Giles Wilmore took 5-20.

The hosts were hustled out for 95 in reply of which Nazam Hanif made 36 as Danny Spencer claimed 5-35 and did the hat-trick with the last three balls.

Bingley Congs II were another side to be knocked over for less than 100, Thornton II cruising to a seven-wicket victory.

Bradley II were shot out for 80, of which Neil Lambert carried his bat with 56no as Derek Bright finished with 7-28 off 16 overs. Haworth II lost four quick wickets before Dave Walsh (24no) and Craig Ogden (30no) took their side to the spoils.

Bottom side Long Lee II crashed to a modest 54 at Hainworth, Nick Crook taking 5-29. Hosts Ingrow sauntered home by eight wickets in the 12th over.

Oakworth III were knocked off top spot in Division Five when they went down by two wickets in a low-scoring game at Bronte Fields.

The Cure Hill outfit were knocked over for 72, with Imran Khaliq taking 6-23 off 16 overs.

The Noyna side struggled over the line in the 28th over, despite 4-32 by Michael Davison and 3-17 by Ollie Huck.

Denholme II take over at the top after a comprehensive 100-run victory over Haworth West End.

The Keighley Road side made 193, thanks to Callum Gerrard’s 67 and a ninth-wicket partnership of 54 by Alastair Gerrard (30no) and Ian Spencer (26) as Harry Sherlock claimed 5-53.

The Penistone Park side were knocked over for 93, with T Shires taking 4-15, Spencer 3-18 and Cameron Foster 3-28.

Cowling II made 204-6 at Sutton, with Ben Davy scoring 75no. Then Sajid Shafait took 6-18 to have the home side out for 53.

Ben Wood (6-10) and Stuart Weatherall (4-33) helped Gargrave to a seven-wicket win over at Chatburn.

Finally there was a nail-biting finish at Sandylands, where visitors Cononley II prevailed by just six runs.

Sam Akrigg (40), Richard Mansell (39) and J Crossley (4-53) did the business for the winners whilst Ian Burke (56) and Sam Smith (5-46) battled away for the losers.
