Worth Village 52 Rodley 0
Village had to win to keep up with the Pennine League Division Six leaders and they set off with a bang, scoring five unanswered tries for a 28-0 interval lead.
There was no let-up after the break as Worth continued where they left off.
Man of the match Sean Knapper scored a hat-trick, with Nick Hird and Rob Spencer scoring two apiece.
Village were well served by Fabion White and James Gow in defence, while Dave O’Connor and Johnny Dawkins made surging runs into the Rodley line.
That created the gaps for Calum Hudson to show off his passing skills and make tries for Jack Kennedy and Liam Gillard just before half-time.
Village started the second half just like the first, with Danny Kelly and Dean Farrell making the hard yards for Spencer to score his second try as Jimmy Shaw and Jake Feather got involved in both moves.
With Simon McKay and James Butterfield showing up well, Village were determined not to let Rodley over their line.
Hudson kicked seven goals and Aaron Hill converted the last try from Hird.
Worth are at home to Harehills at Marley on Saturday (2.30pm).
