Despite only three competitive games in nine weeks, Campion showed no signs of ring rust when they swept aside West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division visitors Littletown 5-0.

Liam Charles (3), Fabian Evans and Terry Hargreaves scored to move Campion into third, ahead of their visitors on goal difference and one point in front of Golcar United, who had to settle for a point with a 2-2 draw at Halifax Irish.

Leaders Ovenden West Riding, who have dropped only four points so far this season, had a comfortable 3-1 victory at Salts, with Scott Eastwood, Jordan Coduri and John Booth netting, while  Sam Waterhouse scored a first-half goal for Salts.

Kirkburton, who have only five games left to play after beating relegation-haunted Lepton Highlanders 3-2, remain in second place, one point adrift of Ovenden and seven ahead of Campion.

Tyersal had to settle for a point after a 2-2 home draw against Storthes Hall.

Graeme Sides netted twice for Tyersal after Alex Slack had put Storthes Hall ahead before Lee Bradshaw bagged the equaliser for the Huddersfield side.

Hunsworth moved five points clear of second-placed Ventus Yeadon Celtic at the top of Division One with a 2-1 home win over second-from-bottom Salts Reserves. Stuart Kittie and Lee Brooks scored for Hunsworth, with Richard Magson netting for Salts.

Ventus Yeadon Celtic slipped to a first home defeat when Steeton Reserves had Ross Bailey (2) and  Mark McGee on target to win 3-0 and move out of the relegation zone.

With third-placed Lower Hopton’s game at Storthes Hall Reserves being postponed, fourth-placed Wakefield City beat Westbrook YMCA 1-0 with a Rob Bloomfield second-half goal to move to within a point of Lower Hopton.

Wibsey, with five wins in their last six league games, are fifth, their latest victory being a 5-2 home win over Bay Athletic Reserves, Mick Burke netting twice to add to Dave Halley, Jack Hartley and Michael Nicholson efforts.

Bradford FC, who upon joining the league won their first Division Two game with a 2-1 success at Tyersal Reserves, have only picked up one point since.

Hopes that they could kick-start their season in the return fixture were dashed in the second half, when, after leading 2-0 at the interval with goals from Asif Gulzar and Hedar Khuddamee, Bradford slipped to their 13th defeat as Asif Hussain and Luke Cook, with two goals each to add to Jamie McEwen and Alan Morley snr, scored for Tyersal Reserves to deny them a first double.

Heavy overnight rain on Friday into Saturday morning again thwarted both Bay Athletic (against Field) and Steeton (against Brighouse Town Reserves) from playing their home West Riding County FA Challenge Cup quarter-finals, and these will again roll over to next Saturday.
