Dinnington 64, Keighley 15

A much-depleted Keighley succumbed to the SSE Yorkshire Division One leaders.

In the first few minutes, Dinnington blitzed the Keighley line, attacking through forwards and backs, resulting in two tries - one for No 8 Will Marshall and the other for fly half Jonny West, who landed one of the conversions.

Keighley slowly put their game together, however, and camped in the opposition territory - but a breakout by Dinnington led to a try for scrum half Chris Reynolds.

Toward the end of the half, some fine play by the Keighley forwards gave plucky scrum half Ian Woodwiss the chance to dive through a mass of bodies to score, full back Olly Mitchell landing the difficult conversion and, a few minutes later, a penalty.

In the second half, Keighley struggled, although the forwards stuck to their task manfully, and on numerous occasions took play deep into opposition territory.

However, when Dinnington gained possession, they found the Keighley defence easy to go through or around, which led to a further seven tries and six conversions.

Leigh Sugden, breaking from a scrum, added a consolation try for the visitors.
