Geary runs rule over his Cobbydalers players

First published in Sport

A YOUNG Silsden side lost 1-0 at home to Daisy Hill – a side in the lower tier of the North West Counties League – in their second pre-season friendly.

Cobbydalers boss Andy Geary was happy with the effort of his young side. He said: “We had nine changes from the 16 that were in the squad for Thursday’s first game against Harrogate Town, just to give us a chance to look at everyone.

“I know they (Daisy Hill) are from a league below, and that it’s nice to win friendlies, but the scoreline means nothing. It’s all about game time at this stage.”
