KEIGHLEY’S poor run of form continued in Division Two as visitors Great Horton recorded a five-wicket win.

Former Woodlands player Naeem Khan took 4-49 as the Lawkholme Laners were restricted to 160-9 as only Freddie Pearson (34) made a signficant contribution.

Khan followed up with an unbeaten 77 as his side secured victory with 9.3 overs to spare, Richard Robinson taking 2-26 and Ben Jagger 2-16.

With Saltaire having clinched the second promotion slot, Keighley's remaining aim for the season will be to reclaim third place from Baildon. Richard Wear's side trail the Jenny Laners by 12 points but play their game in hand at the weekend, heading to Idle on Saturday before visiting Bowling Old Lane the day after.

Keighley II were well beaten by New Farnley II, who as a result clinched the Division One title in their first season in the top flight.

There were no signs of a hangover from their crushing Crowther Cup final defeat by Morley five days earlier as they won by 131 runs.

Alex Baldwin (66) and Rishi Limbechaya (56) set them on course for a total of 227-9, Alex Towler taking 4-63.

Keighley, who have been one of the form teams of the division in recent weeks, perished for 96 in reply.

Chris Blackburn (4-19), Sukhdip Mann (3-21) and Nat Skirrow (3-41) did the damage.

Keighley II host Hanging Heaton II on Saturday.
