INGROW St John's are in pole position for the Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division One title after a dramatic penultimate weekend.

Leaders Oakworth went to Foulridge, lost and fell off the top of the table.

They won the toss, put the Noyna side in and restricted them to a moderate 138, Chris Gildea top-scoring with 42 and John Lambert making 31 as Jack Davison spun his way to 5-36.

In reply, only opener Rob Hopkinson 35 and No 10 Matt House 29 offered much resistance as the innings folded for 104, with Irfan Khaliq taking 4-31 and Lambert 3-15.

Ingrow St John's not only took over at the top but put the final nail in Thornton's coffin at Street Lane.

Babar Khan (46) and Wasim Hussain (27) were the main contributors to the Saints' 184 as Mark Paxton claimed 5-58 and Jack Laycock 4-89. The Booth Bridge Laners were then knocked over for 60, with Mohammad Ibrahim taking 4-24.

Saints now go to already-relegated Cowling on the final weekend, while Oakworth entertain Crossflatts.

Haworth did their famed 'names in a hat' draw for batting and bowling order when they entertained Barrowford and paid for it dearly.

The Bull Holme side smashed 297-8, with Imran Hussain blasting 155 and Akash Ajmal 45 as Jamie Rowell took 5-62. The Bronte side replied with 159, Dave Bainbridge making 81 as Majid Iqbal took 6-36.

Riddlesden chased down Haworth Road's 191 with consummate ease.

Mohammad Shahnawaz smashed 112 and Rinki Shah 40 as they sped home by six wickets in the 23rd over. Mansha Khan (46) had earlier top-scored for the Baildon Bottom side and Will Burgess made 36 as the wickets were shared.

Cowling's miserable season is nearly at an end. They travelled to Crossflatts and were blown away for just 68, with Feyaz Akram taking 4-23, which included the hat-trick.

The home side were wobbling at 17-3 before they pulled themselves together to get home by six wickets as Banaras Hussain took 4-41.

Embsay entertained one of their recent bogey sides and won by five wickets.

Visitors Bingley Congs were 123-6 before Charlie Raistrick (34no) and Matt Roberts (22no) took them to 169-6. In reply, David Wellock made 65 not out, John Golson 33 and Josh Robinson 27 as Neil Copping took 4-40 off 15 overs.
