SSE Yorkshire Division Two

Roundhegians 13

Keighley 13

A RATHER lacklustre SSE Yorkshire Division Two performance by Keighley led to them struggling to secure a draw.

Lacking three first-choice forwards, they were often second best in the scrums but their better organisation in the rucks and mauls kept them in the game,

A penalty goal by Danny McGee gave Keighley the lead late in the first half, but Roundhegians struck back with a well-created try by flanker Tom Walsh, converted by Alex Jones.

A second-half penalty goal by Jones extended the home side’s lead before Keighley prop Craig Spencer was bundled over for a try from a five-metre line-out, with McGee converting.

A McGee penalty put Keighley ahead but the home side secured a draw with a late penalty by Jones.
