FORMER Long Lee Juniors player Reece Webb-Foster was on target as Bradford City’s spirited youngsters booked an FA Youth Cup date with Liverpool after toppling Barnsley 2-0 at a wet Valley Parade on Tuesday night.

The Keighley youngster (pictured after his goal), who made his debut for the Bantams first team in the Capital One Cup at MK Dons earlier this season, put the hosts ahead after 18 minutes.

And despite spending 65 minutes with ten men after Joe Brennan was sent off, City held on to their lead and sealed victory when Dylan Mottley-Henry crossed for Jack Waters to head home a late second goal. It was a thoroughly-deserved result and they can now look forward to rubbing shoulders with the Premier League big boys in round three.

Unfortunately, the game is likely to be played at Langtree Park, the St Helens rugby league ground, rather than Anfield. Liverpool are among the elite clubs allowed to play the earlier rounds away from their usual home.

Webb-Foster’s goal came after James Pollard’s probing pass sent him scampering away and he was quick enough to control and then toe it past Danny Rusling from a tight angle.
