KEIGHLEY Cougars new signing Scott Lee has admitted he knew nothing about the club prior to joining – but he's already starting to feel at home.

In his first interview since joining, Lee said: “I don’t know that much about the club, just what the lads have told me since I’ve come back over from France.

“I live in the same area as the majority of the squad so I know them and they’ve been a massive influence in bringing me to the club. They spoke to me regularly and helped (Paul) Marchy sell me the club.”

Lee, who can play anywhere in the backs or at hooker, is a product of the Thornhill Trojans from where he went on to learn his trade in the academy set-ups at Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

He finally sealed his move from French Elite Championship outfit Albi to Cougars after a deal which took two months to complete as he tried to secure his release from the French club.

“I wasn’t really enjoying my Rugby in France anymore and Keighley were the club who offered to take me on and bring me back so I took the opportunity and joined the club," he added.

“Since I’ve arrived the lads have been a great help to me, they’ve looked after me, put me right when I’ve done something wrong and they’ve helped whenever I’ve needed to find something out.”

Scott started at full back for the reserves in the friendly against Victoria Rangers in which he scored a try in the first half.
