KEIGHLEY & Craven runner James Lund was first under-16 in seventh place overall at the opening Bunny Run on Haworth moor.

He was just edged out of sixth by Bingley Harrier Paul Tiffany, who claimed the Veteran 40 prize, as Ilkley Harrier Tom Adams won the race in 15.57.

It was Adams’ seventh overall Bunny Run win and he also stormed to his 13th Egg Stage win.

He was chased all the way by Lewis Byram, who finished eighth in the British Duathlon Championships, while Wharfedale Harriers runner Jack Smith was third.

Keighley & Craven’s Joe Hudson was first under-14 in 18.35 (16th overall) and was one place behind first female Katie Walshaw, of Holmfirth.

A total of 241 runners started the event.

Meanwhile, Keighley & Craven remained top of the team standings after the second English Junior Fell Running Championships event at Pendle last Saturday.

They claimed more podium places, with Finlay Petrucci winning the under-eights, and second places for Evan Mills (under-tens), Louis Hudson (under-12s) and Joe Hudson (under-14s).
