REBEKAH Tiler won three medals at the International Weightlifting Federation's World Youth Championships in Peru.
The 16-year-old from Denholme took bronzes in the snatch (93kg) and clean and jerk (120kg) in the Peruvian capital of Lima, plus an overall silver with 213kg in the women's 69kg class.
Tiler's mum Emma said: "She has had a shoulder injury since competing in the Commonwealth Games last summer, so she wasn't at 100 per cent and lost her balance on her second lift.
"Despite still building back up her strength, Rebekah and her coach Eddie Halstead were pleased overall as she was hoping to get a bronze.
"And the medal tally matched that of Zoe Smith in the same championships four years ago."
The next major events for the Bingley Grammar School pupil are the British Senior Championships in Coventry on the weekend of June 27-28 and the European Youth Championships in Lithuania on August 1-9.
