Keighley Albion u-11s 40 West Bowling B u-11s 10

Albion warmed up for some tough fixtures ahead by racking up another big win.

Keighley had already sewn the game up by half-time with an early blitz which started with spectacular long-range efforts from Caleb McConville and Riley Corby before the visitors had even made a tackle.

This continued with further tries from distance through Reece Smollen and McConville, taking advantage of the large spaces before good team play saw Ben McParland hare away to score. There was still time in the first half for bludgeoning tries from Evan Jones and Lewis Bloodworth, sandwiching a Bowling consolation score.

West came out after the break with a renewed intensity and scored first with a well-worked try. However, McConville completed his hat-trick with a wonderful weaving run before Smollen touched down from acting half and McParland completed the scoring with another lung-busting effort.

Awards went to Luke O’Connor (parents and opposition) after some excellent runs, Kearn Weatherill (players' player),who was back to his destructive best, and Josh Dickinson (magic moment).
