THERE was only one match played in Craven League Division One on Saturday – but it was a cracker.

Champions Silsden Whitestar, whose campaign is now over, drew 4-4 at home with cup specialists Ingrow & Worth Valley.

Ben McLennon, man of the match Andrew McNulty, Richard Smith and Liam Swain were on target for the hosts, with gong winner Ryan Stubbs (2), Jack Bilney and Joshua Yeadon replying as the Steampigs again raised their game.

Cononley Sports had mixed fortunes in the top flight, losing 5-3 at home to Trawden Celtic but profiting from a weekend walkover against lowly Earby Town.

Craig Gregory, Robert Kaminski and Liam Molloy were on target for Sports, whose best player was Reece Fowler.

Oxenhope Rec were confirmed as Division Two champions as they ended their campaign with a Saturday walkover against relegated Sutton, who lost last week 4-3 at home to Manningham All Stars in a fiery contest.

Nick Firth (2) and Michael Ruddock netted for Sutton, who finished with nine men after Firth and Barry Gummery were sent off, while three of their team-mates were booked.

Cross Hills Reserves enjoyed a couple of 2-1 home victories.

Jimmy Anson was man of the match against both Skipton Town Reserves and Ilkley, netting against the second string, as did Tom Haynes.

Sutton Reserves went down 5-4 after a thriller at Addingham, Aiden Robertson (2), Chris Hardy and Ishfiaq Hussain scoring, while John Pendle won both man-of-the-match awards.

Bradley Reserves defeated Barnoldswick Barons 5-3, with goals from Joshua Brown (2), Jamie Fryers, Alistair Scott and James Wilson on target, while in-form Adam Smith could not prevent Cowling falling to a 1-0 loss at home to Horton.
