COUGARS are launching their own wheelchair rugby league team next month.
The new venture, which is in conjunction with coach Matthew Micklethwaite and Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure, will be launched on Thursday, August 13 at the University Academy Keighley (6-8pm).
The night will include wheelchair rugby league skills games, a question-and-answer session with Cougars players, refreshments, prizes and other mini games. Cost is £2, with all proceeds going to the Danny Jones fund.
Following the launch, sessions will take place on Thursdays at the same venue, with wheelchair basketball from 6-7pm and wheelchair rugby league from 7-8pm (£2 each or £3 to attend both sessions).
The club believe the scheme can be a success and be of great benefit to people with varying levels of disability.
