KEIGHLEY continued their mid-season revival with a crucial win over fellow strugglers Windhill in Division Two.

Victory put them 15 points above their hosts with a game in hand, while Brighouse's defeat to Morley saw the Lawkholme Laners leapfrog them into fourth from bottom position.

Richard Wear turned in a fine captain's performance, shining with bat and ball for Keighley in what was a tight, low-scoring affair.

He made 34 as his side struggled to 161, brother Andy top-scoring with 43 as Jack Beetham (34) and Luke Chapman (24) weighed in with contributions.

Zafar Jadoon was chief destroyer for Windhill, taking 6-47 from 10.5 overs, as Keighley were dismissed for only 161.

However, having previously won three matches out of their last four, the visitors fought back and bowled Windhill out for 151.

Richard Wear took centre stage with 5-46, while good support came from the rest of the attack, particularly Alex Towler, who took 3-18.

Windhill threatened a late recovery as Hashim Khan (45no) helped take the score from 78-7 to 141-7 before Wear took the last three wickets.

Keighley II were no match for Division One leaders Pudsey St Lawrence II as they lost by 126 runs.

Barrie Frankland top-scored for Saints with 48 in their 237 total as Ashley Robinson claimed 3-55 and Fahid Ali 3-40.

Ali made 25 with the bat and George Heartfield notched 31 but Keighley were bowled out for 111, Duncan Butler (3-21) and Archie Scott (3-19) doing the damage.
