HARDEN captain Paul Quinlan led from the front as his side overcame Tong Park Esholt in a crucial Division Two relegation battle.

With the visitors going well at 147-3, Quinlan bowled Saqib Mir for 38 and in his next over produced a hat-trick as TPE crumbled to 151-7.

Danny Groom, who made an unbeaten 65, stopped the rot with a stand of 47 with Lyle D’Razalio, but Quinlan stepped in again, ending the innings on 205, taking the final two wickets in successive balls

Not satisfied with his afternoon’s work, Quinlan then hit a half-century as his side got home by six wickets, Isaac Murray (42no) rounding things off.

That lifts Harden 16 points clear of their opponents, who remain in the bottom two.

Steeton must have sensed it wasn't going to be their afternoon when opener David Robinson was bowled by Otley skipper James Davies from the first ball of the game.

Australian Sam Blake (4-32) then removed Matthew Price, Andrew Luxton and Andrew Foulds as Steeton plunged to 31-4 against the Division One leaders.

John Akrigg (19) and Tom Stead (19) proved to be the top scorers as Steeton were dismissed for 107 with Davies finishing with 4-27.

Otley had little trouble knocking off the runs and securing an eight-wicket win. Openers James Pickering (42no) and Ben Morley (42) led the charge with a stand of 71.

The pack at the top of Division Three re-shuffled but it remains a wide-open race with only 36 points between leaders New Rover and eight-placed Upper Wharfedale and seventh.

New Rovers showed no mercy for Silsden as they made 269-4. Oliver Whiteman scored an unbeaten 107 while Michael Richmond (70) and Eitan Litvin (56) showed no mercy for the bowlers.

Majid Inayat scored 88 for Silsden but he lacked support as his team was dismissed for 184 with Thomas Rhea taking 6-42.

Opener Chris Luxton hit a superb 119 but ended up on the losing side as Steeton IIs suffered a 47-run defeat at Otley.

Luxton made his intentions clear with a six and a four in the opening over and he went on to dominate his side's reply of 227-9 to Otley's challenging 274-8'

Luxton shared a fine opening partnership of 74 runs with Aatif Modak (15) and put on 69 for the fourth wicket with Gary Boulton (20).

Steeton's tail enders Paul Hardwick (17no), Bradley Akrigg (12), Callum Lowe (10) and David Wynn (6no) enabled their side to claim maximum batting points.
