BROOMHILL were indebted to striker Andy Tanner in their 4-3 victory over ten-man Polonia in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Second Division.

Within a minute, Tanner had scored his first goal, putting the ball in the bottom corner after springing Polonia's offside trap thanks to centre back David Rhodes' pass.

Polonia then levelled from the spot but Broomhill went 2-1 in front when man of the match Jake Ward's back-heel put Tanner in again, and he made it 3-1 from a penalty inside half an hour after the impressive Patrick King was hauled back.

Tanner's fourth came on the hour courtesy of a far-post header from Rhodes' cross but Polonia going down to ten men after Ward suffered a professional foul seed to inspire them, and it was soon 4-3.

Substitute Joe Slater and Aaron Whitaker had chances to seal it for Broomhill but they had to settle for a one-goal margin.
