Farsley Celtic 3, Stocksbridge Park Steels 0

FARSLEY Celtic are through to the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after a storming second-half display against Stocksbridge Park Steels in their preliminary-round replay.

Aiden Savory netted the opener with a low shot after Celts goalkeeper Tom Taylor had made a good double save.

Savory then doubled Farsley's lead with a long-range shot that took a deflection and Kyle Hancock wrapped up the win with a well-struck angled drive from distance.

Liversedge won 2-1 as they hosted Albion Sports in a Toolstation Northern Counties East League local derby.

It was a close Premier Division contest but Sedge broke the deadlock through Andy Wood just before the interval.

Albion hit back through Marcus Edwards late on but Archie Watson hit a screamer in the next minute to give the home side maximum points.

In the North West Counties League top tier, Silsden banked a point from a 2-2 home draw against Ashton Athletic.

Zack Dale levelled for the Cobbydalers just before half-time after Adam Gilchrist had given the visitors an eighth-minute lead.

Silsden substitute Aaron Hollindrake then put the home side in front before Ryan Small struck Ashton's equaliser.
