Sutton Rascals u-16s 4 Crossley u-16s 3

SUTTON had the better chances in this first half of this League Cup tie, hitting the bar and post.

However, Crossley went in front but the South Craven side got back on level terms just before the break when a long goal-kick from Cameron Webster caught out the defence and Ben Clarkson slotted home.

The second half went one way, then the other. Clarkson put the Rascals back in front but back came Crossley to lead 3-2.

Callum Walker levelled after a goalmouth scramble to set up extra-time. In the second period, Sutton had a goal disallowed for off-side before grabbing the winner.

Freddy Maddocks was fouled in the penalty area after a great run and up stepped Clarkson to coolly slot home from the spot. Man of the match went to Darragh Davy-Burke for his non-stop running.

Sutton Rascals u-16s 5 Eccleshill u-16s 2

This return fixture was not as one-sided as the previous week, which saw Sutton win 11-2.

Great passing and movement saw Rascals 3-0 nil up at half-time but they switched off after the break and made it hard work for themselves, though they still won by a three-goal margin. Goal-scorers were Ben Clarkson (2), Michael Bailey (2) and Miles Henry (2).

Bingley B u-15s 3 Oakworth Wasps u-15s 1

Oakworth dominated much of the game but were unable to penetrate Bingley's stout defence.

Bingley broke away for the first goal before Wasps equalised through Tyler Green. Seconds before half-time Bingley restored their lead and made it 3-1 in the closing stages.

Wasps man of the match went to defender Michael Coffey.
