KEIGHLEY boxer Ibrahim Nadim is back on the medal trail after progressing in the National Association of Boys and Girls Club Championships.
The Bury Amateur Boxing Club member beat Croxteth ABC's Luke Duffy on a unanimous decision in the pre-quarter-final of the class B 46-48kg category.
Trainer Mike Jelley said: "He did brilliant – boxed really well. He has got a chance of going all the way."
The 16-year-old, who won a national silver medal in the ABA junior cadet championships back in April, now faces an opponent from the Tyne Tees/Yorkshire section at Sheffield a week on Sunday.
Nadim, whose cousin is Keighley's Great Britain team boxer Muhammad Ali, has already overcome Middleton Select member Callum Burton in the opening round.
