A NEW course record was set by Ryan Perry in the Bronte Wheelers-Neophix Engineering cycling time trial series.
The national 25-mile champion, riding for Langdale CC, won the ten-mile race on the tough and undulating Cracoe course in a superb time of 20min 19sec, averaging almost 30mph despite a strong breeze dulling speeds on the homeward leg.
In second place, riding for pro team JLT Condor, was Steve Lampier, posting a time of 21:49 and in third was Steve Ayers with a time of 22:16.
Fastest veteran was 54-year-old Dave Metcalfe riding for Team Swift with a plus of 2:49 on the standard.
Fastest junior was 16-year-old Alex Ridehalgh, from Bradley, riding for Speedflex with a time of 24:17.
